Wikis - Week 7 Thing #16

I have responded to Wiki's in the past, but have never started one myself. It is not something that I would be able to use at my school with our students. I read Using Wiki's to Create Online Communities and it really spelled out the use of Wiki's and I had a "aha" moment. A great way to collaborate.

Interesting to know about Technorati, but not something I think I would use. I enjoy Del.icio.us for tagging.

I already have a Del.icio.us accoung and I love it. I have it on my computer at work and at home. I can now find all my "favorites" in one place.

Play - Week 5 Thing #10

I created this using ImageChef.com. This was great fun to play around with this site. I have sent an e-mail to my kids using this. Yes, I am trying to impress them. lol I tried to "Warholize: a picture using Flickr but I am having trouble getting it into my blog. I will keep trying.

RSS - Week 4 Thing #8 and #9

I had a hard time understanding RSS except to know that it means a lot more time reading. I already don't have enough time in the day to read the things that I need to. But once again I got started and couldn't stop. I love the fact that there are so many different links in one place. Once my life slows down a bit this is one area that I would like to explore more thoroughly.

Flickr - Week 3 Thing #7

Who knew that you could actually customize a postage stamp! That's right; a postage stamp that is used to mail a letter. I do not know where to begin with all the cool stuff available on Flickr. And it is all in one place.

I have uploaded a picture I took in Italy last summer. It was really quite easy!! After I had uploaded the picture into my post it was too large. But I realized that I could click on the picture and then adjust the size to fit into the box (just like in MS Word).
